We do not verify contractors
We do not inspect or verify the licensing, certification, insurance or competence of the contractors to whom enquiries are referred. We expect contractors to represent their qualifications, insurance and experience accurately, but we do not check it on your behalf.
Before any work begins you should request, directly from the contractor, evidence of public liability insurance, workers compensation cover, and whatever qualifications they hold, and you should verify those with the contractor and with the relevant licensing or issuing authority. This is not a formality. It is the most important thing you can do before letting anyone put a chainsaw into a tree above your house.
Agreements are between you and the contractor
Any agreement for the commencement of work arranged through this website is made between the contractor and the customer. We are not a party to it and will not be involved in disputes or disagreements between contractors and customers. Any dispute should be resolved between the parties, with professional advice where appropriate.
We are not responsible for damages, losses or disagreements arising from the use of this website to connect contractors with customers.
Accuracy of information
We try to keep the content of this site accurate and current, but errors and omissions occur, and neither we nor the contractors referred through the site can guarantee that everything published is complete or up to date.
This applies with particular force to statements about council requirements. Tree controls on Sydney's North Shore differ between Ku-ring-gai, Willoughby, Hornsby, Lane Cove and the City of Ryde, they change over time, and the position depends on your specific property, the species and the tree's dimensions.
